Ferretti Company is the world’s biggest luxury yacht manufacturer, and has the world’s advanced R&D center, industrial design team and the worlds advanced manufacturing system. There are eight luxury yacht brands that fall under this company, four of them: Ferretti, Riva, Pershing and Bertram, are ranked among the world’s top ten brands. Currently Ferreti owns eight shipyards, seven of them in Italy, and one in Miami, USA, with more than 2,000 employees in total. In 2008 the sales quota surpassed 900 million euros, and 500 million euros in 2010. The company has established an online sales system with more than 1,000 service centers and spare parts suppliers in 86 countries.
Under the management of CEO Fulvio Dodich, Ferreti Yachts reached the targeted sales quota of 190 million euro in the 2004-2005 maritime year (September 1st, 2004 - August 31st, 2005). At the same period of time, Ferretti Group reached the targeted quota of 636 million euros, with the quota in 2005 increased by 14% compared to that of the previous year of 557 million euros.
To satisfy the growing demand, Ferretti has recently established a new shipyard in Cattolica (RN), besides the existing Forli, Faro (AN) and San Giovanni shipyards. The new shipyard has 14,000 square meters of total area, and is the technologically most advanced shipyard in the world.
To change the existing product structure, and to fulfill the Group’s strategic targets, on July 3rd, 2012 Shandong Heavy Industry Group purchased Ferretti Company and forged Group’s luxury yacht manufacturing section.
